GFS Security Advisory Note
The interception by the security agencies of suspicious parcels on cargo flights from the Middle East is a subject of great concern to GFS, its customers and carrier partners.
When any incident of this nature occurs within the international transport infrastructure, there is always a great deal of uncertainty about its consequences for traffic, either of passengers or cargo.
Representatives of the UK freight industry are in close consultation with the Government and security services to put appropriate measures in place to ensure not only that cargo remains safe but that potential disruption to shipments is minimised.
Such discussions are ongoing. However, you can be assured that GFS will keep you informed as to the situation to help you and your business cope.
We will update our website ‘News’ page to let you know as soon as necessary precautions have been decided upon and what they will mean for you and your parcels, wherever they may be heading.
