GFS support Pulce Racing at Silverstone Classic
GFS was delighted to support Pulce Racing and their driver Benny Simonsen at Silverstone classic on the 23rd - 25th of July.
Pulce Racing had a very successful day running The Abarth GB car number 49 at Silverstone classic weekend. Pulce's driver Benny Simonsen finished 6th out of 15 cars in the opening race of the Abarth Trofeo GB championship. The weather played its part with a liberal sprinkling of water just around lunchtime to keep the drivers on their toes.
Silverstone classic attracted 73,000 visitors and more than 1000 drivers took to the track across 22 races. Free access to get close to the cars and drivers in the paddock made the weekend a real hit with the visitors.
More than a dozen high profile celebrities including Heston Blumenthal and James Martin contested the BSM Centenary Abarth 500 Celebrity Challenge race, run in aid of the Bobby Moore Fund for research into bowel cancer.
On-track highlights also included over 120 Grand Prix cars racing to mark 60 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. Off-track there were countless attractions including more than 6000 classic cars on the Silverstone infield, air displays and hot-air balloon fly-outs which made this action packed weekend a success.
Date added 20th August 2010.
