Plan for the merger of DHL Domestic and HDN

DHL HDNThe 1st of March saw the finalisation of the agreement to combine DHL Domestic and Home Delivery Network (HDN) business, which will have annual sales of over £600 million.

Jonathan Smith, the DHL Domestic and HDN Group Chief Executive has commented “We have a very robust and operationally sound plan to integrate our business in a way that benefits our clients.”

“The plan is to build a sustainable and profitable full UK parcel delivery business. In the short term both networks will be managed separately, but the wider group will seek to build an integrated national network over a three year time-frame in order to build a scale business in a growing sector.”

“It will generate business with strength in depth and the ability to provide you and your customers with an unrivalled choice of services, offering the most comprehensive and convenient experience.”
