Jersey introduces a GST
Jersey has recently introduced a Goods and Services Tax (GST). This will apply to all goods imported into Jersey at a rate of 3% of the value of goods, inclusive of any freight costs.
To ensure that your shipments can be efficiently cleared, you will need to ensure your commercial invoice complies with the Jersey Customs regulations.
Please find listed below the required elements of a Commercial Invoice:
| * Consignor name |
| * Consignees full name, address and post code in Jersey |
| * GST Registration of Importer (if consignee is registered) |
| * Accurate description of goods |
| * Value of goods |
| * Shipping costs |
| * Weight (net or gross) |
